Kristen
well i don't think EVERYONE is perfect. I mean look at Winston and that girl Lois. They were described as ugly and fat. And there were other people that were not attractive. The fact that the twins and their group of friends were attractive is no unusual. Usually people who are good looking/popular hang out together.

Cristina
My guess they want us to think that life is just fine and dandy, which is isn't since 9/11 and so on.

Tia
I think that they want us to have something perfect and that would be SV. but then they show us that SV isn't perfect and that nothing can be...

Roanne
Personally, I hate it when people always say they don't like Sweet Valley because it's "unrealistic". It's a FICTIONAL book series with MADE-UP characters, of course, it's "unrealistic"! I mean, isn't that one of the reasons why people read these kinds of books, to escape the real world even for just a brief amount of time? I doubt many people's life is anywhere as drama- filled as Jessica's or Conner's or Tia's. But, that's part of the reason why SVHSY is so fun to read. We get to read about these people whose lives are dramatic and stressful and adventurous. It's ENTERTAINMENT. So, if you people want something to read that isn't so "fake" read something NONfiction and let the rest of us (the ones that know that these books are only fiction) enjoy it! Thank you!

Jennifer
We all read sweet valley because it is perfect. I know I started when I was real young, like 8. At that age you NEED happy endings. And, i don't know, I grew up with them. Whenever I read another book a book without a happy ending or a complete resolution (even a 2-parter in the SV series) it leaves me feeling almost unsettled. Face it, the main reason we read is to escape our realities and fall into a fictional world where wonderful things happen. It gives us hope in our lives. Who would want to read about true teenage angst and horrible things? we deal with that every day

Melanie
What is the deal with the *Wakefield twins* faces always being changed? One book it's the twins from the TV show..Brittany and Cynthia Daniel....the next minute there gone...what is the deal? just some insight would really help..thank you!!

Rose
Well, maybe the person who was writing in this whole series wanted to imagine a world where everything was just hokey-dokey or really exciting -- a world perhaps the author wanted to be in but believed she would never get that chance to be in. That's the way it was in Sweet Valley High and Sweet Valley Twins, anyway. Senior Year is probably a more realistic portrayal of real life.

Well, actually everything isnt always perfect. Ever notice that almost every single book contains a problem that someone has to deal with. But when things ARE perfect, boy are they perfect. Let's take Jeremy and Jessica for example. Whenever they are together and everyones happy, they have the best times. Like umm making out for example? LOL I'm sorry but I just think Jeremy is a real sweetie! Well, as I was saying before, not Everythings perfect in Sweet Valley.
